Hello everyone :)
My name is Katherine, Im 5ft8 and am on a mission to lose weight once and for all.
In January i got a book free with a magazine and thought nothing of it, then one evening i sat down and started to read it, it made sense so i then made small changes to the way i ate until i felt ready to start ‘low carbing’ properly ( mid January ).
Since then i have had highs & lows but the main thing is i have lost a total of 30 ish lbs . so as far as im concerned im heading in the right direction :D
feel free to ask me absolutely anything about my low carb journey so far and i will try and help as much as possible.

Ok, since mid May all has been going well ! and today i weighed 210lbs. I could look at all my ups and downs and give up ( i have considered it ) but i just think Oh well ive learnt something from that and i carry on. Ultimately im really pleased with my progress and i have gotten rid of over 30lbs ( i didnt say lost because I DO NOT want that 30+lbs back :)
Now that you all know about me and what ive achieved so far .. my posts from now on will be thoughts, feelings, tips, pictures & anything that has helped me :)
Everyone deserves to be happy & if losing weight is what will make you happy then i am 110% pleased for you & would love to be able to help :)
I am very nearly obsessed with the scales ! i weigh myself every morning (209lbs today ) & i have decided that i am not going to hop on them again until Monday morning :) This could go one of 2 ways… 1.) because i dont see what i weigh each morning i think pfft and not concentrate on what i eat OR 2.) because i know im not going on them until Monday it may give me an incentive to be careful so that on Monday they will say 208lbs or less :D

This is my favourite . i sometimes get people say this and im like “nahhh not really ” as i lose more & more weight then il take the compliments but for now i like losing weight in private and not drawing extra attention and pressure to myself :)
EEEEK ! Welll yesterday i went to London for the day with my best friend :) we went to madame tussauds & then shopping on Oxford street . It was a really great day except for when it came to eating ! i try to low carb privately away from my friends just to avoid all the question/snide comments etcc .
So when it came to buying krispy kreme i did ! i had some toffee/butterscotch one & YES it was amazing as guilty as i felt i thought .. im having a day out .. iv walkedd MILEEESSS & im not going to let food get in the way of me having a nice day . Ive lost 30+lbs by being sensibe then every now and then giving myself a treat . so yesterday was just a day where i gave myself a treat .. im still on for 199lbs by AUGUST 1st :D

Ive neglected Tumblr for a few days as life has been hectic & low carbing has gone out the window .. people do not realise HOW frustrating it is to low carb on the go ! So the scales still hate me and were on 210lbs this morning, and as ive said before by August the 1st i want them to say 200lbs or LESS i cant wait to get out of the 200’s ive been here for TOOOOO long !
Today i came back to uni and will be here until the 30th of July because i have a work placement, so ive designated this month to really concentrating on low carbing and getting back into it properly ! and as im here alone i will do my own shopping and wont be tempted by any snacks by cupboards at home contain :P I also have no scales here .. soo going home at the end of the month will be excititng to find out if i managed it !!
While im here my days will be .. up at 6, leave the house at 7 to drive 40 miles to work.. work 8:30am - 4:30pm .. drive home … home at 6pm ish… relax/shower/catch up on uni work … then bed around 10.
so as you can see il be at work for the majority of the day .. i think i will be on my feet for a large proportion of the day … so that will be my exercise. and as for meals .. il have breakfast before i leave .. at like 6:45 .. thenlunch whatever time im allocated & evening meal at 7pm ish . I will also have access to a gym which i would like to use but if im to tired when i get in i wont go in the evenings but i may get there at the weekend.. we will see.
Im really determined to make the most of this month alone as i beleive it could really benefit me .. expect to see lots of quotes, pictures, text & general updates of how im getting on lowcarbing & at placement !
Rowntrees sugar free jelly is my FAVOURITE snack :) i always have pots in the fridge for when i want to eat something sweet :)
